Christmas Decorations!
Jeremy and I were pretty excited to put
up Christmas decorations! It was fun
because my mom has every kind of
Christmas decoration stored in her
basement. First the tree went up....
Then a little outdoor scenery.....
Then the nativity. (Jeremy was in charge of putting
this up and was very proud of it.)
River was there to help too. He loved
playing with all the new toys. I guess
he and Jeremy had too much fun because
they crashed after we were done.

Halloween!
For Halloween we had to throw costumes
together at the last minute, so we came up with
batman and catwoman.
Jeremy was pretty excited when i told
him he got to be batman. I had to draw
the batman sign on his chest with a silver
marker.
close up of our masks....
Our friends Jon and Alexis dressed up with us.
Jon had an inflator thing in his costume so he never lost
air.
At the end of the night we ended up at
Wal Mart.... Jeremy found a mask he
liked better.
Jeremy is obsessed with those motorized
carts. I'm not sure why... but for those of
you who are wondering, yes we eventually
got kicked out of Wal Mart.

Apple pie
This weekend I attempted quite a project. My mom
asked me to bottle apple pie filling for her so she
would have it when she gets home. I picked
hundreds of apples from our backyard, made apple
pie filling, and bottled them. My mom talked me through
every step over the phone.
After the filling was made, I decided to make
an apple pie to see how it turned out. Those of
you who have made pies, know the crust can get
pretty tricky but i was pretty proud of how mine
was turning out.
As you can see I have taken a picture of every
step.
here is my pie ready to go into the oven....
Here is the finished project. It looks just like my
moms do. I was pretty excited. I took it to our
big family dinner and told everyone they better
try it or else.... it turned out pretty good.

SKUNK!
We have been setting the animal trap lately
because the critters have been eating our fruit.
Jeremy set the trap days ago but forgot to check
it. He remembered this afternoon and found he
caught a skunk and isn't quite sure how long its
been there... but Jeremy made sure it was still
alive by throwing a pear at the cage.
Jeremy opened the door to set him free because
he felt so bad that the skunk had been in the cage suffering.
It wouldn't leave the cage so Jeremy dumped a bucket
of water on him and to our surprise, he liked it. (he must
have been very thirsty). Jeremy kept making him mad
by throwing things at him and telling him to go, but he just sat
there. Finally, Jeremy got him out somehow and as hi ran off, he
sprayed. Luckily we didn't get any of the juice on us, but
the neighborhood sure stunk.

River's Birthday!
Today was River's birthday and since it was
the highlight of our day, we decided to share
his pictures with you. He is smiling big because he
really does know its his birthday.
River was very excited about the candle in his
dinner....
He got a little too close and singed his fur, but he
didn't notice.... he was too excited to eat.

Well everyone I must say it's about time I started a blog! I will admit it was very complicating for me. I am lucky i have a very patient sister in law who talked me through each step. I know that summer is long gone, but I thought I would fill everyone in on bits and pieces of our summer. So here we go.........
We were gone probably every other weekend over the summer. River came with us just about every time. We just packed him up in the car with everything else. He has really gotten to love to travel. Everytime we go outside now, he wags his tail and runs to the car thinking were going on another road trip.
Here is a close up picture of my dress. When i went out to Brazil, I brought the fabric and an idea in my head of what I wanted. I described it to my mom and showed her pictures. She took some measurements and that was about it. I left it in her hands. She worked on the dress for hours a day. I am sure she was sweating bullets and hoping and praying it would turn out. I was quite nervous myself, since it got here right before the wedding. When I put it on, It fit like a glove and it was the most beautiful dress I had ever seen. A+ to my mom!
